MEDUSA (TW FOR S*XUAL ASSAULT)*

In the game, I wanted to include a level where you have to defend yourself against Medusa herself. In the level she would attempt to turn the player to stone, as they reflect her attacks and run away. In my research I wanted to get a better sense of her origin and how to interpret her in the game.

I used Procreate to create the graphic, using the lasso tool to cut out images. To symbolize Medusa, I found a statue to represent her ability to turn men to stone and a snake to represent her iconic hair. I duplicated the images, changed the layers to multiply and used the Gaussian blur tool to create a shadow behind the original image.

To create the background, I created a gradient and flipped it twice to create a border. I created boxes for my text using the same gradient, using the freeform tool to change the size.
